Project goal
The short life cycle and high variability within the aircraft cabin pose particular challenges in the development of new cabin systems. To meet the requirements of different airlines, the cabin system can be varied up to unique cabin layouts. This flexibility currently requires a great deal of manual configuration work, both for initial equipment and for lifecycle retrofits. The goal is to reduce the extensive configuration effort to an absolute minimum with an adaptive, service-oriented software architecture. The adaptive features are intended to allow the system to organize autonomously and respond automatically to system changes. Within the scope of this project, the adaptive avionics platform from the predecessor projects DIANA and SYLVIA will be ported to an avionics-related environment and validated.
