Project goal

Autonomous means of transport may fundamentally change urban mobility in the future. In the future, it can be assumed that the automotive and aviation fields will increasingly merge, as shown, for example, by concepts of a two-seater passenger cell that is coupled on a driving module or under a flight module during the journey. In order to realize such disruptive mobility concepts, a large number of research questions still need to be solved. In the DELIA project, we are working on the creation of an open operating system for standardized, safety-critical systems and the development of a method for model-based optimization of the architecture of distributed, embedded systems based on optical data transmission. The goal is to incorporate the concepts and methods of the Adaptive Platform and to enable dynamic system behavior of safety-critical applications on new and potentially certifiable software/hardware architectures.
