University of Stuttgart introduces innovative specialization "Artificial Intelligence in Aerospace Engineering" in the Master's degree course in Aerospace Engineering

The University of Stuttgart is once again setting new standards in higher education: From winter semester 2025, it will be the first university in the world to offer the new specialization "Artificial Intelligence for Aerospace Engineering" in the Master's degree course in Aerospace Engineering. This underlines the university's pioneering role in combining artificial intelligence with aerospace engineering.

The increasing importance of artificial intelligence (AI) in the aerospace industry makes this specialization an important milestone in the degree course. Students are given the opportunity to deal specifically with the latest technologies and applications in the field of AI in order to develop innovative solutions for the challenges of the aerospace industry.

In our Master's program, students acquire two essential skills:

- The ability to use AI as a powerful engineering tool
- In-depth knowledge of the fundamentals of aerospace engineering

"We are very proud to be the first university in the world to offer this pioneering specialization. This unique combination enables our graduates to develop the next generation of aerospace systems: smarter, safer and more sustainable," explains Prof. Zamira Daw, Professor in the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering.

The new specialization complements the existing curriculum with innovative content and practical applications in the field of AI in order to best prepare students for a career in the next generation of aerospace engineering.

The University of Stuttgart is thus sending out a clear signal for innovation, future orientation and the close integration of science and industry. Interested students can apply to start their studies in fall 2025.
