With a new aerospace strategy, the state government is paving the way for a digital, sustainable and cooperative aerospace technology: The research program "Aerospace Technology 2050 - Sustainable-Digital-Cooperative" is funding 3 projects of the Faculty of Aerospace and Geodesy at the University of Stuttgart. The ILS is participating with QUASAR (QUick and Assured system of Systems development with dAta-driven suRrogate models).
Enormous amounts of data are collected during the development of future aircraft and spacecraft. Using modern methods in conjunction with machine learning, this data can be interpreted efficiently.
QUASAR researches the application of data-based methods that contribute to the significant further development of virtual prototypes and digital twins.
Prof. Zamira Daw-Perez presented the ILS project at the kick-off on 29.07.2024 with Dean Prof. Dr. Ing. Stefanos Fasoulas and Jennifer Staudenmeyer from the Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts.
