Aircraft systems you can touch at the education fair „Börse deiner Zukunft“

October 23, 2025

For the first time, the Institute of Aircraft Systems had the opportunity to take part in an education fair. Together with the team of the University of Stuttgart we delighted our young visitors in the Filderhalle Leinfelden-Echterdingen not only with first-hand information, but also with hands-on technology. Numerous school students found out about studying aerospace engineering - and were able to get hands-on themselves.

We used an interactive model to show how practical studying can be: A small green alien from a distant galaxy in the shape of an airplane performed exactly the movements that the young students had previously programmed for it. It quickly became clear what is behind the programming of computers for airplanes - and how exciting the development of modern aircraft systems is.

However, information on study content and requirements was particularly in demand - the topics of mathematics and physics were the focus of many discussions. Michael Wojczik took a lot of time for each of them and answered the young people's questions patiently and openly - a valuable guide for anyone thinking about a technical degree.

We are delighted with the great interest and hope to inspire many of the young people - and their parents - to study aerospace engineering.
